Welcome
Kendal Unitarian Chapel is in the centre of Kendal, at the gateway to the beautiful Lake District. Built in 1720, our chapel is one of Kendal’s most historic buildings. It was established as a home for religious liberty and tolerance and has embodied these values for the past three centuries.
Below is a short film commemorating the Chapel’s 300-year anniversary and the opening of its Multi-Faith Garden of Remembrance.
Fundraising
Following the collapse of the ceiling of the Schoolroom attached to the Chapel, we are appealing to the general public, trusts, and foundations to help us reach our target of approximately £200,000 so we can restore it to its former glory.
Our Schoolroom has a rich past, and we are confident it will have a prosperous future if it can be repaired and building improvements made. To see how you can help click here.
